About Me
My career in operations began in 2004 and has included experience in the industrial, construction, lighting, automotive and hospitality industries. During this time I have also served as a board member to a non-profit and volunteered in youth sports and for historical societies. While working in these areas I have designed and built assembly lines, designed custom data systems, implemented training programs, overseen certification processes, built sales forecasts, all while working with board members, owners and interested parties both internal and external. And after all that, what stood out to me the most was the lack of organization and communication that exists regardless of the industry. The problem these businesses experience may have different names, but at their core, they are all the same.
The intent in starting Opwerks was to help make operations work. I believe the optimal way to do this is with fractional support. I believe this because many business issues, are exactly that, issues. Issues are temporal, they are problems in need of solving. It can be difficult to justify bringing on a full time executive to solve a specific problem. Offering fractional services provides all the benefits without the risk of hiring a person that may not be needed long term, or that may not fit within the culture of the organization. With Opwerks, businesses have a plug and play executive that takes the time to get to know their business and provide what is needed at an affordable price without those risks.
Whether it be training, working through a strategy or creating an entire infrastructure from the ground up. Seeing the distractions and busy work moved out of their way allows them to focus on what they are passionate about and grow their business.
